As the Head of Corporate Sales at our leading International Bank in Dubai, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Relationship Managers. Your primary focus will be on driving new corporate client acquisition, enhancing client retention, and fostering organic growth within the existing client base. In addition, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with C-Level Management to develop and execute comprehensive sales and relationship strategies across the entire UAE market.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Relationship Managers to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs. Provide guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure the team's professional development and success.
Client Acquisition: Develop and implement effective strategies to identify and attract new corporate clients across various industries. Utilize market insights, networking opportunities, and relationship-building techniques to expand the bank's client base.
Client Retention and Growth: Cultivate strong relationships with existing corporate clients to enhance loyalty and satisfaction. Proactively identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling banking products and services to drive organic growth and maximize revenue potential.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with C-Level Management to define the overall sales and relationship strategy for the bank in the UAE market. Contribute valuable insights and recommendations to align sales initiatives with the organization's objectives and priorities.
Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the corporate banking sector in the UAE. Use this information to identify emerging opportunities and threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Performance Monitoring: Establish performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives and individual team member contributions. Analyse performance data regularly and implement corrective actions as needed to optimize outcomes.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations, policies, and procedures governing corporate sales activities. Mitigate risks associated with client relationships and transactions by adhering to established risk management protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
Proven experience in corporate sales, relationship management, or business development within the banking or financial services industry, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a high-performing team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with a keen business acumen and the ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Sound knowledge of corporate banking products and services, as well as relevant regulatory requirements and market dynamics in the UAE.
Proficiency in financial analysis, risk assessment, and CRM systems/tools.
Fluency in English is required, while proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
